Dilruba Yasmin Ruhi is a Bangladeshi Model and Actress. She steps into the showbiz as a model. In a very short time, she became one of the top ramp model in Bangladesh. During that time, she also started acting in TV Dramas, and success followed her in that field as well. Currently, she shifted her focus into Dhallywood films and busy working in several big budget films.
Yasmin Ruhi’s Career
She was
first noticed, when she was selected as a model for one of Amitav Reza’s TV
Commercial of Parasuit Country Campaign. She worked as model for major fashion
houses, like “Bangler
Mela”, “Mayasir”, “Kay Kraft”, “Dressidel”, “Mantra” and
“Arong”.After that she started acting in TV Dramas. Ruhi’s debut TV drama was “Oporichita”, based on Rabindranath Tagore’s Short Story
and directed by Ahmed Shushmoy. After that, she acted in Shahidujamman Selim’s “Britter Bhitore Eka”,
Ahmed Shushmoy’s “Shopnomukh”, Ripon Nabi’s “Ochena Manush”, Giashuddin Selim’s
“Obogunthon” and “Love”.
Although,
she gained wide success as a Ramp Model and TV Drama Actress, her dream
was to become a film actress. It
didn’t take long to fulfill her dream. She was signed for a movie named “Shongram – The Movie”. It is a romantic drama movie,
set during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation struggle, aimed at an international
audience. Based on the war of liberation of Bangladesh, the movie is the first
war-based movie made outside Bangladesh. Bangladeshi British citizen Munsur Ali is the
writer, producer and director the movie. “Shongram
– The Movie” will be made in three languages namely Bangla, English and Urdu,
and will be released primarily in 32 countries. The film is in post-production
stage.
Bangladeshi Film Actress Dilruba Yasmin Ruhi started
shooting of her new movie “Mayanagar” in May 2013, starring opposite Tanveer Tanu. The movie directed
by Ismat Ara Chowdhury Shanti. On the other hand, Ruhi is shooting for her
another movie “Glamour” directed by Mahua Chakraborty, cast opposite Prambrata.
She also signed another movie “Sporsho” directed by the same director. Prior to that, she will work for
the movie “Full
& Final” starring
with Shakib Khan, Eamin Haque Bobby and
Amit Hasan. This movie will be directed by Malek Afsari and produced by Taposi
Thakur
